Saturday, September 20 -- Peekskill Fencing Center

I will be organizing the team carpool to Peekskill Fencing Center this weekend.  If you’re interested, please let me know, at ollfencing14@gmail.com, especially if you plan on attending our competition on October 25th.

We will meet at Beacon train station this Saturday, September 20th, at 10:45 AM, classes are from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and we will return at Beacon train station around 3:00 PM. If you would like to attend and or help with transportation, please reply back with the confirmation and any questions you might have. We encourage that you bring a snack and water.

Note: I will not be able to organize the carpool for the following few weekends, but I would like to encourage more people to fence off-season. Please check with Mr. Alex Acevedo for necessary details (alex@peekskillfencing.com).

Peekskill Fencing Center will hold a competition on October 25th; Lourdes fencers can participate for a fee of $25. A USFA membership is required to compete; membership cost is $70 for the year.

We hope to see you then

Off Season Training at the Peekskill Fencing Center

As we begin the new school year, we will continue to give every fencer the opportunity to have a productive off-season at Peekskill Fencing Center. We will try to carpool to Peekskill at least twice a month until the season begins, depending on the number of interested fencers able to attend.

We will have a carpool from Beacon train station this Saturday, September 13th, at 10:45 AM, and we will return at Beacon train station around 3:00 PM. My mother will be able to drive for this Saturday. We will be attending classes from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.  If you would like to attend and or help with transportation, please contact Chris Amalathas at ollfencing14@gmail.com.

Peekskill Fencing Center does not charge Our Lady of Lourdes fencers, and they provide all equipment. We encourage that you bring a snack and water.

Reminder: There will be an upcoming tournament to raise money for the team on October 25th. We encourage as many team members to attend, and sign ups are available at Peekskill Fencing Center.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon,

Chris Amalathas
